Mikomoto Island

Mikomoto Island is one of the lighthouse locations in the Minamiizu area.
here is famous as a fishing and diving spot because of the many schools of fish that are there.

Mikomoto Island has something the locals refer to as "black current" which attract many species of fish and sea life such as: Japanese amberjack, amberjack, yellow tail, several species of shark, long tooth grouper, asian sheepshead wrasse, green turtle, stingray, Japanese eagle ray, yellow striped butterfish, chicken grunt, large scale blackfish, red snapper, butterfly fish, filefish etc.

and the famous fish in mikomoto island is school of hammer head sharks.
the divers will come dive to see the hammer head shark.
