今日は田子へ！

今日は強風の予報が出ていたため、神子元でのダイビングは朝の海況判断となりましたが、予報通り朝から風が強く吹き始めたため、残念ながら神子元はクローズとなりました。

そのため、今日は田子へ移動してのダイビングに。
ただし、田子も風の影響で外洋のポイントには出られず、湾内のみのダイビングとなりました。

潜ったポイントは 弁天島 と 白崎。

弁天島はやや波がありましたが、エントリーに支障はなく、無事にダイビングできました。
一方、白崎は風の影響をまったく受けておらず、海面はベタ凪。とても穏やかなコンディションでした。

水中のコンディションはというと、
透視度はおおよそ 10m ほど。
浅場は暖かかったですが、水深20mを超えるとひんやりと冷たい潮が感じられました。

見られた生物はとても豊富で、
キビナゴの群れにソーダカツオが突っ込む迫力あるシーンや、
トビエイの群れ、アカカマスの群れ、さらにはウミウシ各種など、見応えのある1日となりました。

なお、明日も引き続き風が強く吹く予報が出ているため、神子元はクローズの予定です。
この風、いつまで続くのでしょうか......。
一日も早く、穏やかな神子元の海に戻ってほしいですね。

Due to a strong wind forecast today, we had to make a decision about diving at Mikomoto this morning.
As expected, strong winds started blowing from early on, so unfortunately, Mikomoto was closed for the day.

Instead, we headed to Tako for our dives.
However, because of the wind, we couldn't go to the offshore sites, so we stayed within the bay area.

We dove at two sites: Bentenjima and Shirasaki.

At Bentenjima, there were some waves due to the wind, but we were able to dive without any issues.
Shirasaki, on the other hand, was completely calm and unaffected by the wind -- the surface was flat and peaceful.

As for underwater conditions:
Visibility was around 10 meters,
The water was warmer in the shallows, but once we went deeper than 20 meters, the temperature noticeably dropped.

Marine life was abundant!
We witnessed schools of kibinago (silver-stripe round herring) being hunted by frigate tuna,
Saw a group of eagle rays, schools of barracuda, and even some nudibranchs -- it was an exciting day underwater.

Tomorrow's forecast also calls for strong winds, so Mikomoto will remain closed.
We wonder how long these strong winds will continue...
Hopefully, calm and beautiful conditions will return to Mikomoto soon!
