なんとかゲットできました！　＠神子元

今回の台風9号の影響で、伊豆半島には大きなうねりが入ってきました。

今日はうねりこそ大きかったものの、風がほとんどなかったおかげで、なんとか神子元で潜ることができました。

今回はいつものダイビングスタイルとは違い、イレギュラーなスタイルで、島から離れたポイントからエントリー。中層をメインに泳ぐダイビングとなりました。

1本目は水底付近こそ濁りがありましたが、上層はとてもきれいで、透視度は15mほど。まずまずのコンディションでした。

しかし2本目は1本目よりも透視度が落ち、全体的に白っぽい濁りが広がる海況に。それでも、その濁りの中からまさかのハンマーの群れに遭遇！思わぬサプライズに大興奮でした。

そのほかにも、イサキやメジナの大群、カマスサワラ、カツオの群れなど、見応え十分の海でした。

今回のダイビングは、まさに「一か八か」のチャレンジでしたが、結果的には大当たり。自然相手だからこそのドキドキ感と、出会えた時の感動を改めて感じる一日となりました。

Typhoon No. 9 brought a powerful swell to the Izu Peninsula.

Although the swell was quite large today, the wind stayed calm, allowing us to dive at Mikomoto.

Unlike our usual diving style, today's dive was a bit different. We made an entry from a point farther away from the island and spent most of the dive swimming in the mid-water column.

On the first dive, the bottom was a bit murky, but the upper layers were beautifully clear, with visibility of around 15 meters. Overall, the conditions were pretty good.

On the second dive, however, visibility dropped compared to the first, and the water became hazier with a milky-white appearance. Even so, an incredible surprise was waiting for us--a school of hammerhead sharks emerged from the murky water! It was an unforgettable and exciting encounter.

We also saw huge schools of grunt, black sea bream, Spanish mackerel, and bonito, making for an action-packed dive with plenty of marine life.

Today's diving was truly a gamble, but it paid off in the best possible way. Moments like these remind us of the thrill of diving in the wild and the excitement that comes with unexpected encounters.
